Meet Mister Meatball, a Chicago English Bulldog Rescue bully, the handsome guy on our logo and merchandise, and the “Fan’s Best Friend” mascot for Chicago's Comcast SportsNet.

This beautiful 3 year old rescue bully can be seen hamming it up around town in person at CEBR events, and through his Comcast SportsNet fame, you can find him on billboards, in newspaper ads, on the sides of CTA buses and trains, and on TV!
But he isn’t only a cute face. His story, like most rescues, tugs at your heartstrings. Meaty's original family decided they would like to add a 2nd English Bulldog puppy to their home. They had an older female at the time. Not long after Meatballs' arrival, the older female made it clear that she didn’t seem to care for this new addition. She took out her anxiety and frustration on Meatball who ended up banged up, beat-up and in his crate much of the day. That was no life for a beautiful young bully.
Luckily for his new owner, he was sent to rescue. At the time, Molly, our CEBR Director, had recently lost her bully Lucy. She agreed to foster Meatball to help fill the void she was experiencing from the loss of her sweet girl. Of course, with a face like Meatball's, she fell in love and he never left her home! Now, several years later, she is leading rescue and helping other bullies and families in need.
Mister Meatball currently shares his home with Molly and a bully sibling named Alice. You can meet them at all of the CEBR events and at most English Bulldog Meetups!
Come meet this handsome star and learn how rewarding rescue can be!
